Miller: Nick Gordon Tutored by Hall of Famer

On Wednesday, the Marlins were in Ft. Myers to take on the Twins in spring training baseball. It was also the day that Twins minor league spring training officially started.

I was watching the minor league hitters stretching and running when a golf cart drove up. The passenger stepped off the cart and went right to Twins shortstop Nick Gordon. It was his brother Dee who was traded to the Marlins from the Dodgers in the offseason after his All Star 2014. He stuck around for a little while to watch. Soon their father, Tom "Flash" Gordon was there too.

Phil Miller came down and talked to Dee and Tom before chatting with Nick later. He wrote an interesting article on the family. The really interesting bit that Miller learned from Tom Gordon was that Nick Gordon was tutored throughout the offseason by Hall of Famer Barry Larkin.
