Tables in posts

Is there a way to place a table in a post any more?  I can't seem to find that function anymore and since much of my analysis is data driven it would make my posts cleaner appearing, not quite as "you've been crushed by a wall of text".

I tried getting this functionality working earlier in the week but it didn't take. I'm going to have to approach the problem from another angle. No timetable on when I'll get it working, just wanted to mention that I'm aware of the problem and looking for a fix.
