Sorry, I was working last night.  It was probably discussed in the game thread last night, but that's already disappeared.  Why did the Twins wear their BP jerseys last night?  Anyone have the explanation?  Boy they're ugly.

Um, click "Forums" and glance down to "Archived Game Threads".  Go in and find the one you want.

Always liked the red alt jersey they had for a single season.   Would be great if it replaces the alt blue.  That has been too tired.   That was a BP jersey and it showed but red would be great as an alt jersey and a bit more modern than the previous red (which was mirror image of the blue) :

I like this Nike fanware Jersey, really clean lines, would look great with the Script Twins in blue (and Minnie & Paul on the sleeve and the logo gone from the chest) :

I've always wanted an alternative with a "TC" on the chest.  This wouldn't be bad with a big TC instead of the Twins script.  Also hide the Nike swish on the other sleeve.

I LOVE the red as an alternate. Love the idea of the Minnie and Paul on the sleeve. (Yes, move the Nike swoosh) Kind of torn between a nice TWINS or MINNESOTA script, especially in the silver-gray vs a really nice TC. But if hard pressed, guess I'd go with the TC.

 

If I remember correctly, the Twins chose to abandon the red alternate a few years ago due to a string of losses while wearing them. (As if we had winning streaks without them. OUCH! Sorry) I know ball players can be superstious, but time moves on. This looks really nice!

 

Although, could someone have posted a jersey other than Klingenbeck? It gives me shudders. (Sorry Scott, no disrespect intended)

 

Seth, Nick, Jeremy, anyone, could you possibly forward some of this to anyone in the organization. This is really a cool idea.

They wore the jersey twice as Sunday alternates at home (April 6 and 27) in '97.  Radke started both games and they lost 12-2 to the Royals and 7-3 to the Rangers.  TK hated the jerseys and they dropped them.  They were commonly known as the DQ jerseys.

 

Like I said, I've always wanted a TC jersey, and the one that Thry shows is not quite as bright as the '97 version.  With a new young team, a new alternate might be nice.  I'm not sure what I would use for the cap, the red with blue brim might be nice, but might be a little too much red, but I do like the muted red as opposed to the bright red.

Scotty, I do recall what you're talking about. I might be mis-remembering, but it seem to recall the team really liking the red uni options at first, but as you stated, baseball players being a superstitious lot, dumped them after those thrashings.

 

The red options pictured are flat out SWEET! And I love the idea Minnie and Paul patch, whether on the chest or sleeve, with a nice big TC logo in the front. The hat would absolutely have to be red with a blue bill. (Possibly with blue and/or white piping on the bill or down the seems?) And you'd have to have a TC on the cap front as well.

 

Someone get this done! Can we start a write-in campaign?
