2014 start: Fort Myers DL, quickly promoted to AA New Britain

 

Ray has battled injuries since last season. He was a solid performer and a 30ish prospect in 2012. That year he was OK in Fort Myers, though his K/BB ratio was good.

 

After starting the year on the DL in Fort Myers, Ray has jumpstarted his career. In 67 plate appearances in Fort Myers he posted an .868 OPS with 8 doubles and 2 homers.

 

He is now in New Britain. He hasn't played first base since 2012, but he does look to be a LF/RF/1B player from here on out. That he has made it to New Britain after the disaster that was 2013 is a good sign for him.
