It appeared to me that was Escobar's ball all the way. He called it, he was under it, and on the replay I didn't see Parmelee calling him off. The replay was short, so it's possible Parmelee called him off before the replay started.

But from what was visible, IMO that's on Escobar, and it's not like he had to make a real tough play to get there. He was camped under it.

It was the ol' miscommunication play that they work on in spring training.

I've seen it many times. The rule is actually... The OF gets it... if he can get it and the infielder steps aside.

Most likely...Parm didn't call him off or he whispered it until it was too late. I'd score it E7.

Bums me out that he gets the "blame" for that run in probably his best inning of the night. Bums me right out, man.

Dude... Do ya need a hug... I'm sure LaBombo or Snepp or someone has a GIF for that.

Perhaps he was throwing his voice toward right field

Reverse rotation of the globe. Pretty sure this was covered at length in multiple threads about the consequences of a certain Twins OF not switch-hitting.

I didn't see the catch... I hope to see it in the highlights.

I love good defense and I'm sure it would have brightened my day.

I didn't see it so I got ask... Did Dick call it Flanominull?

It was an amazing catch, in part because it was straight over his head and he had to sprint back to the wall and time his leap, reaching behind him and over the wall. He has Hunter-like vertical leap.

And yes, Dick called it "Flenominal" and "one of the best catches you will ever see a center fielder make."

I love it when Dick says Flanominull. I use it all the time when something makes me happy.

(Still trying to imagine the works of a goatscaper...)

"Do your goats seem old-fashioned, out of date?"

Anyway the run scored, and now we gotta answer it somehow...

I was imagining a goat with stone walkways... A fountain of someone peeing. Maybe some shrubs...

Or maybe just a simple goat topiary will suffice.

I would add "If the OF calls off the infielder who already called it," but yeah, the infielder should then yield to the OFer. But since I have no confirmation Parmelee called it...I'm gonna blame the guy who did call it until I learn otherwise.

Parmelee come down with the bi-lateral groin weakness?

Yeah...kind of an odd pinch hit, unless there's something wrong with Parmelee.

It's ok... We had a side discussion and determined that it was Hughes's fault.

Great AB by Dozier. A leadoff hitter who draws a wild pitch and a walk because he can crush the ball.

Mauer. No GIF. No image. No pop culture reference. Just... fingers crossed for turnaround.

Let's hope the Twins have seen the error of their ways...
