Kennys Vargas Injury

I heard at the beginning of the Rock Cats radio broadcast tonight that Kennys Vargas was out of the lineup tonight because of a wrist injury suffered in batting practice (AM radio was fuzzy, but I believe he was doing fielding stuff at first base). In any event, he was taken to a hospital.

 

Definitely not good news. I'll try to find out more.

Oh Oh, if it is a wrist injury, no matter how slight or severe, he will be out 2 plus months.........mostly kidding, but it seems the Twins injuries last longer or are more severe than what they will first tell the fans

I'm not surprised. There is no reason for the top prospects to stay healthy the entire year. We should expect major injuries to fall upon all of the Twins prospects. Its not the trainers' fault and we can't even say "that's baseball."

 

Instead 80% of the blame goes to Mauer, Morneau & Cuddy for lobbying the organization to cut down the trees. The rest goes to the weak GM for capitulating to the superstars.
