Anybody think Hermann makes it to tomorrow without being DFA'D?

Since we have a wealth of Shecky's here today, I'll be serious. I expect Herrmann to be optioned, not DFA'd. Assuming Hammer is shifted to the 60-day to make the spot for Guerrier, I think they will DFA somebody (maybe the new kid claimed from Toronto) and promote Parmelee pretty quick.

Correia is one of the last guys I'd expect to strike out two guys to get out of a mess, even if they didn't give him credit for the first one. He's keeping us in the game at least albeit having to throw a ton of extra pitches to get there.

I'll take Escobar.

And the adventure continues ....

Plus I liked this tidbit:

It seems to have been overlooked with the rest of the Twins roster turmoil, but Kubel's slugging pct over the last 23 games .265 with a .574 OPS. I think there should be more concern about Kubel than just overworking him.

It's possible he has those numbers because he has been overworked.

there's a fighting chance Kenny Wilson gets called up.

Hey, the Twins' starters have been less terrible at striking out batters lately!

this has been a silver lining moment

The Twins batters have been more terrible at not getting struck out lately...

What's the opposite of a silver lining?

Bremer seems to almost get it, Bremer for GM!

He has described every piece of the puzzle but stopped short of assembling it, which is entirely understandable given the nature of his employment.

Kenny Wilson? He's my Adopt-a-Prospect and I'm obliged to speak up for him, but he's OPSing .595 at AA, with lots of strikeouts. and would get chewed up by major league pitching on a Butera/Florimon scale, and could contribute defensively.

Can they at least get Zukesie some pants that don't touch the ground? They're bordering on footie PJ territory. Is he shrinking due to overuse?

I would guess Fryer would be the other player to come off the 40 man, to make room for an outfielder, any outfielder

The other candidate would be Brooks Raley. The chances of him making it to Minnesota are rather slim, or should be slim. Although, with this management of the roster, you never know..

Sounds perfect. I mean, who's better on the bench: a player who's maybe marginally better defensively than the other solution at SS (Florimon over Escobar) or a player who has over 400+ more professional games CF than the incumbant (Wilson over Escobar).

If we're going to roster some subzero OPS+ players...Wilson is honestly a better fit currently than Florimon (or even Herrmann).
