Serious question: so what? What's more important, how Sano performs at 3B during the rest of this lost season or the even 5% chance (I think its closer to 30-40%) that his defense there improves enough so that he can stay there in the future? Also, you do realize he was taken from his primary position and forced not to play it for nearly 4 months, right?

His errors are too amateurish....Now is the time to find out....but I want to see how the Twins finish, can they win the second half?  As long as they have momentum, lets play to win.  I like Santana at 3b.

It is unbelievably tough to switch positions in the middle of the year, especially going to the hot corner. He needs a lot of work there but so did Gaetti, Koske, Plouffe, etc. He is a good athlete and will succeed in the field. I think we will see his defense improve as soon as his bat heats up. We cannot afford to have another 1B/DH.

When you consider the options at 1b, Twins are loaded.  I was not a Vargas fan, but he has changed, now Im not sure, but if you get by Vargas, What about Park who hit 3 HR in a recent game, then you have Daniel Palka...wow!  I guess the good news is Vargas would bring back a nice return, but of course the Twins are deathly afraid of the "Ortiz" effect and they should be,  I would love to know what you guys think of the coming logjam at 1b.  BTW  I will eat crow if SANO sticks at 3b, No way Jose!

All I know, or at least think, is that this team has WAY to many guys who are corner/DH style players. Somehow, somewhere, sometime, they are going to have to trade or move someone, somewhere. While I know that's a lot of ''somes', there is one more. Someone has to be able to catch the ball. That said, Sano should stay just where he is, and that includes well into '17, to determine if he can at least play adequate defense. (Assuming he doesn't add 20 lbs.). This team doesn't really need to win a another baseball games, to needs to sort itself out.i

Hey huhguy-

Way to support your argument with data. :)

For real though, would you suggest moving one of the 1B guys for a trial run at third base? There is some logic to it and I would be open to it, though I still like Sano. Which of those guys would you try at third?
