Will Arcia ever see Target Field again?

Twins Video

Oswaldo Arcia hit his 4th homer of the season and drove in 2 runs for Rochester last night (2-K's as well).

His average is up to .261. With an over crowded OF(Rosario, Hicks, Hunter, Robinson and Buxton to return(?) in a month or so) and Sano maning the DH position for now, will Ozzie ever see the green grass of Target Field's again?

You would think there would be  a market for a young slugger who has hit 20 Hr's in the major leagues, lets trade him for a great catching prospect and send Hermann packing...

Arcia should be viewed as their best solution for RF next year.

Kepler and Walker haven't played this level. Sano barely has played and never in the OF. They need to let go of Torii before his numbers collapse.

I would trade him for someone who is their best solution at catcher next year, but most teams don't want to trade up the middle guys for corner guys.

I hope to see him again. Not sure if he'll be the right fielder of the future for them, but I think he needs a shot to prove if he should stay while we get a better look at some of our other prospects and how they develop. If nothing else, hopefully he can build some good trade value by getting some playing time.

I believe we'll see Arcia again this year. He just turned 24 years old and still has tremendous potential as a hitter. My hope is he comes up and subs more than occasionally for Hunter, who is beginning to look like a tired hitter. Give the old man a few more breaks!

I wouldn't trade him until he has greater value.

He will end up on an east coast team and getting a hitting coach that can tap his potential and turn him into a monster DH. Sounds like history repeating itself with the Twins giving up on a hitter.

What Darin says. People are quick to forget, that despite his young age, he has yet to earn full-time play (on bad teams over the past three years) and will have burned all his options after this season (and he was given a fourth option year in 2015).

He'll be back this year, but I think he's pretty low on the OF totem pole right now and he isn't going to be handed anything.
