What do you think? One thing I wouldnt do is take pitching unless there was a guy that blew me away...(twins have invested heavily in pitching in drafts and trades, now build the rest of the team

Gonna disagree for two reasons.

1. Pitchers are extremely hard to predict and simply the more you have in your system the better.

2. Having many productive OF's is a good thing, but having many SP's? They are gold. You can trade a solid SP at anytime for a good price, you can't always so that about positional players.

MLBTraderumors had a note the other day that four teams, the Cardinals among them, have enquired about Perkins and have been rebuffed (see mlbtraderumors.com/2013/07/bowdens-latest-garza-rox-rios-morneau-perkins.html - 5th bullet point down). If the Twins could liberate Kolten Wong from the Cardinals for Perkins, straight up, that's the one to grab. Wong was an "untouchable" earlier this year. He's major league-ready, but he's stuck in Memphis - blocked by Matt Carpenter. Should the Cards decide that Carpenter is their guy, and with his batting line it's hard to say he's not, Wong may be on the block. I had a chance to see him many times while he was here, and I've never seen anyone better on the Rainbows or their opponents. He would finally be that 2nd baseman.

He was indeed. I believe he was drafted by the Twins out of HS, but chose to attend college instead and the Cards got him earlier in the draft than when the Twins selected him.

I don't mind Wong but that blocks the path of Rosario

I like the idea of Wong, but I think Dozier will be fine as a stop-gap until Rosario arrives. I'd rather see SP in return.

No, not close. Average to above-average regular ceiling.

Yet, Rosario made the list. Here's the last part of KLaw's post in his Top 50 about Rosario:

The former center fielder may never be above average at second, but his bat will be. Rosario's ceiling is a .290-.310 hitter with 30-35 doubles, 10 homers and 50-60 walks a year, which would make him one of the best at that position in the game.
