Is it just me? or is Plouffe really arrogant?

Twins Video

Does anybody need competition more than Trevor Plouffe? Anybody else struggling like he is, would not be playing.

I know this wont happen, but I would love to see the Twins bring up D Romero from New Britain and let Plouffe watch a lot of baseball.

Plouffe seems very arrogant to me, like it doesnt matter, he has the thumb injury to blame it on...just wait until he recovers....and wait...and wait....

Sit him please, he needs a major attitude adjustment!

I don't think it is fair to make personal judgments on any of the players, or their efforts. He's had to work to earn his playing time for the last 3 years. He is a smart guy. He works hard. He's just struggling.

Major league baseball players have to be confident to be successful. When they struggle-- that confidence may appear to be arrogance. I don't think Plouffe shows any more arrogance than other players. You can never tell about injuries, but it does seem the Twins have more than their share of lingering ones.

I don't see it. Trevor seems to always have a smile on his face and joking with the fellas when in the dugout. When he strikes out or makes an error he always appears to be disgusted with himself. These traits seem to indicate to me that he is not arrogant, but trying his best to succeed and be a good teammate.

I agree with the top 3 posters.....dont get that attitude out of Trevor at all. He's looks like he will be a low average, power hitting type of 3B who's on the low end of defensive ability.

Does that mean he should have the position locked in for next yr....absolutely no. If they can upgrade, go for it.

Just you. Have you ever met him? Talked to him? I don't get this kind of comment at all.
No, never.....from that comment, I assume you have, please enlighten me, I know I can be wrong and am bad about forming first impressions, so if you know diffferently, please lay it out

Had you made a similar post about Valencia last year, I might have agreed with you. Obviously wasn't close enough to the situation to really know, but it sure seemed like he thought he was God's gift to baseball, even with his nightly errors in the field and Butera-esque production at the plate.

Don't see any of that with Plouffe.

When in truth he was struck out by a good pitch.
