Wow...you are a real twins fans, you listen to every snippet you can, you come to twinsdaily multiple times a day, slide over to twinsbaseball.com out of desperation....you can never get enough Twins Baseball..then whatever you do, listen TO Hangouts with Seth...and Im sorry I dont know the other guys name, but THEY TALK BASEBALL!! Congrats guys, love your show! Cant wait for the next one!
How can a guy that knows baseball so well, be so ignorant? Brings Perkins in to face Zobrist a right handed hitter who owns Perkins, result? Base hit of course, Perkins then surrenders another hit..3-1 Royals, Molitor did this same thing against Detroit, brought Perkins in to face Martinez, forcing Martinez to hit from the right side where he was hitting over 500, result hit off the wall, how could you be so ignorant?
Sanos value to me is questionable. I do wonder if Escobar has me spoiled. ! I dont know that Sano should be playing anyway, and 2- How long will we ever have him? Anyway Id like your input if you would trade Sano for a catcher or just what you think we should do with him
If the Twins send Hicks to Rochester this will send a very poor message to their fans. Mainly, Team politics are more important than winning. The base is excitied about Hicks. After today, its hard to imagine the Twins without him. Keeping him on the big team would send very positive messages about the organization and their will to win, not always salvage the dollar. It would also be a big signal to their young players, prove you are good enough and we wont worry about the money
I get it, decent career ( certainly not hall of fame) He could help a new catcher like Pinto (we already hve a coach on the field -number one selling car in Japan) he knows baseball..no doubt...BUT..... WHERE IS THE FIRE? WHERE IS THE NOVELTY? WHERE ARE THE HALL OF FAME CREDENTIALS? The reason Steinbach will not be considered is bottom line, his hiring would AFFECT the bottom line.. Give me DM...he will make errors ..but in two years when the team can contend..he will have needed experienc
1. Starting pitching MUCH better...(keep Correa) Our starting pitching has been much better, we have an ace now..Gibson is pretty much online..but do expect more short outings..but also long outings..he is getting better...Twins will move Nolasco..to pen..drop Swarzak and bring up May. Pino will be decent for remainder of year, Our Starting rotation will be Ok the rest of the way. 2. Collabello - has matured from his exit, look for him to perform above average the rest of the year. Ma
In a word, TALENT, no he may never make it, but the Twins will rue the day, they passed on him if he does. Falvey et al will have no problem justifying the pick but if Wright or The Louisville Slugger...falter, the Twins FO will n never hear the end of it. The more I read about McKay or Wright, they seem relatively pedestrian compared to the Electric Greene. You rarely have the opportunity to pick #1, The Twins got a hall of famer last time they were in this position, go for anothe
I read post after post about the projected rotation for Twins in 2014, many exclude Deduno entirely or at least have him at number 4. Cmon folks, quit tolistening to the experts, trust your eyes, Deduno has GREAT stuff, don't believe it, ask Gardy... Any other pitcher who didn't pitch like Deduno, would be praised and hailed as savior of Twins pitching, but because his style is o unorthodox, he is like a fastballing knuckleballer.....we (twins nation) have to rely on other peoples opinions to

About the only reason to watch the Twins now is to watch young talent, So why is Pinto riding the bench? Is there a catch doctor in the house? Can he be so bad that he cant even be the backup catcher? What did he do to get into the doghouse? Every time i see Suzuki penciled in, I am a lot less interested...are the pitchers requesting Suz? Help me figure this out...please!!!
Bill would make a move...trading for Delmon was good on paper, that is until Bartlett was included...but I digress... Yeah..i know he traded Hardy who was hurt all year and hit 220 when he could play..Nshiokia was a Japanaese MVP...how could we have known? But what I liked about ole Bill..he would make a deal...Terry Ryan is like watching paint dry..if he dont screw ya..mean you havent traded with him... Here we are again...please..paint..crack somewhere!
Trevor May D Enns M Littell Please vote.. As bad as Enns was, May was beyond awful, I think LIttell will be back, smarter and more determined, but this performance sends him to the back of the pack of the Next wave PLEASE VOTE!
The Twins dont have too many "untouchables" but here is my list based on either consistency or potential. Catcher - Nobody (I would consider Centeno) 1B - Park 2b - Nobody 3b- Nobody SS - Escobar, Nunez LF -Nobody CF- Buxton RF -Sano Pitcher - Nobody Thats a really pathetic evaluation. This shows how poor Ryan and Staff evaluate talent. When you look at this, only two of these were raised Twins, Sano and Buxton. Escobar and Nunez traded for from yankees and chisox.
Joe Mauer WAS a great baseball player Because of his contract you can't cut him or can you? ITs painfully obvious that he is filling a position that he is ill suited for. If Mauer was still catching we could live with his batting and lack of power, but now he is clogging the one position you can have an average defender but with some bop. I really like Joe Mauer but playing him at first base is a complete waste. Twins know it but what can they do? My solution is call up Kepler or Sano I
I think K Gibson is the most overhyped over rated prospect I am aware of in the Twins system. I kept hearing all these reports, Gibson is ready, when we bring him up..he will stay..etc.. Truthfully, he was terrible and for him to have a chance at the major leagues..something has to change and radically
First I will say AGAIN, Deduno is the best starter on this team. Nolasco might be as good, Hughes certainly isnt, what the Twins really should do, is dump Correia, can a Diamond, Gibson, Gilmartin, Johnson choice be worse than Correia? I highly doubt it...yes there would be uncertainty but you prefer an automatic loss?
Its beyond me how TD staff doesnt think suppying their readers with pre season game results. I had to go to er..that other site to find out about games, that should not happen
Im interested to know what Twins fans think of Miguel Sano. Please choose one of the following positions: 1- Franchise Level Player, when he's healthy he will carry the Twins 2. Serviceable, but to this point disappointing 3. Get rid of him and his strikeouts if you can get anything for him
I really hold back what I would like to say about then payroll arguments here. The fact that people don't accept the amount taken in dictates the amount going out requires one of two things. Extreme financial ignorance or fanatical bias that prevents the acceptance of something some basic. I did not change the argument. It's the same idiocy over and over. Do you really want to be on the side that suggests revenues does not determine spending capacity?
At this point in the pre-season, I’m just so happy to be seeing games again, I don’t care about the Twins record in 2023. I think they’ll win it all, unrealistically speaking 🙂
